About the role:

Our Digital Technology division at ACU is currently on lookout for a Senior Full-stack Banner Developer to join our team and avail multiple opportunities for growth and career development along the due course of their career journey with us. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing, documenting and developing the technical aspects of customer business and data requirements, working with stakeholders, end users, project team members and suppliers to develop and recommend software solutions appropriate to their needs. Your strong background in technical skills will ensure that these products adhere to the university architecture, frameworks, policies and standards to meet the strategic needs of the university and advise and consult with business system owners and the IT Directorate on enhancing and extracting the maximum benefits from these investments. You will also have an opportunity to develop an end to end delivery of high quality and maintainable solutions/products utilized by staff and students at the university.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Degree in IT or related discipline and relevant Cloud certifications.
  • Provide hands-on full stack development capabilities with expert understanding of backend, frontend, systems and data domains.
  • Experience working across the full software lifecycle, analysing and refining requirements, proposing solutions, estimating, developing, deployment, ongoing maintenance.
  • Compiling and deploying Banner applications across Tomcat servers.
  • Develop and supporting system data feeds and integration between Banner and other systems using interoperable APIs.
  • Ability to provide coaching, conduct code reviews, provide development and best practice guidance to uplift skill capabilities within the team.

  • Total remuneration valued to $130,436 - $145,828(pro rata) pa, including salary component $110,220 - $123,227 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
