About the role:

Operating within the People & Culture Directorate, as the Psychosocial Risk Consultant, you'll develop a risk register, tools and methodologies to assist ACU in rapidly assessing, mapping risks and developing appropriate strategies to manage psychosocial risk to staff and students. You'll also enhance current controls to ensure managers are enabled to identify, address and improve the overall wellbeing of staff.

Key to your success will be in your ability to deliver strategic projects and initiatives, including Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategic plans; coupled with capability to assess the risk presented by students and staff within a university or similar complex organisation. You'll possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Work Health and Safety and/or equivalent, including relevant work experience in a WHS Operational Risk, Compliance or Audit role.

What we offer:

  • Total remuneration valued to $151,285 - $161,435 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $127,838 - $136,506 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 3% salary increase will be effective from the beginning of the first full pay period commencing on or after 1st January 2025.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
