About the role:

We currently have a fixed term opportunity for a Connect2Uni Program Advisor to join our supportive team and contribute to the successful delivery of the Connect2Uni Program which is a year-long program aimed at enabling commencing students to manage their social and academic transition to university. Supporting the Transition Program Coordinator, you will help with successfully planning and implementing all transition activities across ACU campuses. The Connect2Uni Program Advisor is also responsible for administration of the program, monitoring students' progress throughout the academic year and providing appropriate support, advice and/or referral to improve student retention and success. This role will see you lead, coach and support a team of campus-based student mentors who provide peer to peer support to commencing students.

More specifically the role entails:

  • contributing to the development of a national mentoring program for first year students
  • training and supporting mentors to deliver on campus student experience activities in Brisbane
  • providing advice to students on support and retention initiatives at ACU
  • working with academic and professional staff across ACU to collaborate in successful student outcomes.

  • Total remuneration valued to $106,366 - $114,254(pro rata) pa, including salary component $89,881 - $96,546 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
