About the role:

The Research Engagement Librarian is part of the Library Research and Learning portfolio and an integral member of the Research Engagement team. In this role, you will evaluate and implement current and developing research tools and systems, with the goal of ensuring that ACU is providing the most appropriate tools to support the research staff and students. You will also work closely with ACU librarians to identify and develop services that meet the evolving publishing and technological needs of university researchers and HDR students.

A crucial element of this role is to deliver training sessions on scholarly communication and research tools.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Developing and delivering training sessions on scholarly publishing, research performance/metrics and emerging technologies to researchers and HDR students.
  • Providing consultation sessions for researchers and HDR students on scholarly publishing, research performance, and open access enquiries.
  • Preparing research performance reports and presentations in support of grant applications, and strategic publishing requests.

  • Total remuneration valued to $117,590 - $127,214(pro rata) pa, including salary component $99,365 - $107,498 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
