About the role:

We are currently seeking to appoint a Student Life Officer who is the first point of contact for students seeking information about the range of Student Support Services programs and is the local campus representative of the Student Life Unit. In this role, you will work closely with students and other key stakeholders to organise, promote and deliver student engagement programs, events and activities that enhance the student experience on each campus. You will play a key role in delivering a range of extracurricular, social and sport programs, events and activities that create vibrancy and encourage a sense of belonging to an inclusive and diverse community that is committed to justice, equity and the common good.

More specifically the role entails:

  • develop and deliver an annual calendar of events, activities and initiatives to enhance student engagement
  • get involved with the development and maintenance of marketing and publications for local and national Student Life programs
  • work autonomously while being supported be a national team
  • engaging with and mentoring student leaders and clubs and society executives, guiding them to achieve their objectives, and reporting and governance responsibilities.

  • Total remuneration valued to $106,366 - $114,254 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $89,881 - $96,546 (pro rata) pa (HEW 6), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
