"We know that our people make us a university like no other. The values, actions and passion of our staff make the difference, whatever role they play in our organisation: it's what staff do that defines who we are".

As one of the top ten Catholic universities worldwide, ACU is clear about its Catholic identity and mission within the Catholic intellectual tradition. Central to this is ACU's commitment to truly student-centred education; research that is impactful, engaging, and responsive to society's rapidly changing needs; and a strong, vibrant, and sustainable university culture. With the aim of transforming lives and communities, ACU is committed to the pursuit of knowledge, promotion of human dignity, and the advancement of the common good.

ACU is a national university with seven campuses across Australia, with its global reach complemented by more than 200 partner universities on six continents, its campus in Rome, Italy, and an online campus, ACU Online.

At ACU, leadership is a team effort. The university is fully supported by effective corporate governance and leadership that ensures all administrative and academic departments work effectively together to deliver the best outcomes for students, staff, and the wider ACU community.

The university is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) (DVCE) and inspire educational innovation grounded in Catholic identity and mission. Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Zlatko Skrbis, the DVCE is a key member of the Vice-Chancellor's senior leadership team and will lead the implementation of ACU's student-centred vision for learning and teaching that nimbly responds to the changing higher education landscape.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an educational innovator, a collaborative change agent, and a mission-aligned leader. The next DVCE will have the experience and capabilities to enhance educational quality and delivery through strategic leadership in curriculum, pedagogy, learning spaces, online education, and student support services.

We are seeking candidates with a proven reputation for outstanding and collaborative leadership, a track record of driving continuous improvement, and the enthusiasm to inspire educational innovation that elevates the student experience. A talent for influencing stakeholders, mastering data, and driving continuous improvement along with exceptional communication skills, the ability to drive change and build consensus will be critical for success in the role of DVCE.
