About the role:

Operating within IT Security & Infrastructure Services, the IT Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and managing enterprise security controls and secure infrastructure to protect information assets, manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards whilst aligning technology initiatives with the ACU strategic objectives. Working under the direction of the Senior Lead, IT Security, the position works collaboratively with staff, faculties, business units, internal stakeholders and external providers to identify security risks and translate business and technical requirements into secure, fit for purpose solutions that support the university operational and strategic goals. The IT Security Specialist provides technical leadership and expert guidance across key security domains including incident response, threat management, risk assessment and business continuity while continuously monitoring emerging threats and technologies to drive improvements and ensure systems and services remain secure, resilient and aligned with best practices.

• Total remuneration valued to $138,111 - $154,409 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $116,706 - $130,478 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
• 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
• Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
