About the role:
Operating within Research and Enterprise Contracts, this role supports the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) in managing all aspects of ACU's research and enterprise contracts.
The Senior Research Contracts Officer is responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and executing research and enterprise agreements
- Identifying and mitigating legal, financial and commercial risk
- Ensuring contracts comply with legal requirements, funding rules, policies and governance frameworks
- Providing senior level advice on complex contractual matters
The role works closely with:
- Faculties and Research Institutes
- Finance
- Office of the General Counsel
- Staff within the Research & Enterprise Portfolio
- External collaborators and project stakeholders

- Total remuneration valued to $138,111 - $154,409 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $116,706 - $130,478 (pro rata) pa (HEW 8), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
