About the role:

As the Coordinator, International Community-Engaged Research, you'll be responsible for coordinating processes and activities associated with international community-engaged research within the Stakeholder Engaged Scholarship Unit (SESU). ACU's 10-year Strategic Plan (Vision 2033) commits ACU to making a stronger contribution in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond as well as conduct impactful community-engaged research. The SESU is in a unique position to offer research support and capacity-building to community organisations in the Asia-Pacific and beyond to advance their community development work. At the same time, it gives ACU's academic staff an opportunity to learn from community, share their expertise with community and prioritise investigating issues identified by community internationally. A key component of the role will be to advise the Manager, Community-engaged Research, the SESU Advisory Group, SESU project teams and community organisations on appropriate international research processes and practices. You'll investigate logistical matters common to international research, prepare communications, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and undertake basic research and administrative tasks to support the SESU's effective engagement in international research. The role will also include making important contributions to existing international community-engaged research undertaken by the SESU and community partners.

  • Total remuneration valued to $117,590 - $127,214 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $99,365 - $107,498 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
