About the role:

ACU, Strathfield, is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer on a part-time, ongoing capacity. As an Academic, you will provide a significant contribution to the academic and administrative activities of the national School of Behavioural and Health Sciences, and will be responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of both on-campus and online content within the core units of programs in the discipline of Psychology (in line with the school's national curricula). This role involves contribution to excellence in teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which may include research and clinical supervision of students in fourth year and/or postgraduate psychology programs.

In this role, you will demonstrate your academic leadership by implementing strategies to foster a dynamic, service-oriented culture, and contribute to professional service and community engagement. The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in Psychology, experience in tertiary-level curriculum development and teaching, and a commitment to ACU's mission of promoting social justice and the common good.

More specifically the role entails:

  • Being the Lecturer-in-Charge of specific unit/s in ACU's undergraduate and/or postgraduate psychology programs.
  • Developing and maintaining a lecture/tutorial/seminar sequence for these units.
  • Developing and maintaining online units in the ACU Online psychology programs.
  • Contributing to curriculum development.
  • Providing research and/or clinical supervision to honours and/or Masters students in the discipline of psychology.

  • Total remuneration valued to $168,512 - $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
