About the role:

We are currently seeking to appoint an Academic Engagement Librarian who can offer specialised library services and support to postgraduate students and faculty staff. Being an important part of the Library Research and Learning portfolio, you will also be a key member of the Academic Engagement team. In this role they will be expected to provide expert advice and specialist library services to postgraduate students and academic staff in faculties and research centres in accordance with Library service guidelines and contribute to course review processes and work with relevant faculty and library staff to ensure that the Library's collection development meets the research and teaching needs of the university

More specifically the role entails:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong and sustainable working
    relationships with Faculties and Research Centres
  • Providing high quality research consultations, Reference Services,
    and individual assistance to postgraduate students and
    academic and professional staff
  • Supporting the strategic direction and reputation of the Library by
    taking a leadership role in initiatives and projects

What we offer:

  • Total remuneration valued to $117,590 - $127,214 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $99,365 - $107,498 (pro rata) pa (HEW 7), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
