Overview of the Team

The Technology and Information Management team maintain Comcare’s Information and provide strategic leadership, governance, solutions, and advice for the effective management of information.

The ICT Assurance unit provides all Governance, Risk and Compliance functions relating to Comcare’s ICT systems.  These include provision of Information Security, Information Management, Change and Release Management and all Governance related functions.

Overview of the Role

The Information Officer is responsible for assisting with the digitisation of Comcare’s physical records, mail service and updating Comcare’s records electronically. They are required to be flexible and undertake tasks in response to business needs. They are responsible for providing stakeholders with a high level of customer service.

Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment

  1. Australian citizenship.
  2. Character clearance (police records check).
  3. Health clearance.
  4. Six months probationary period for new engagements.
  5. Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  6. Specific Conditions: Because of the requirement to be directly involved in the ongoing assistance with the digitisation of paper files and coordinating mail and courier services this role must be based in Canberra.
