The Governance, Assurance and Secretariat unit works under the Finance and Assurance team of Corporate Group. The unit supports Comcare through:

• Providing secretariat services for the Audit and Risk Committee, Operations Committee and Performance, Compliance and Engagement Committee.
• Providing frameworks and support for governance and assurance including guidance materials and training.
• Managing the delivery of internal audit services.
• Supporting the CFO and COO with meeting their obligations under the relevant legislation and reporting requirements.

The Senior Governance and Assurance Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality secretariat services to Comcare’s governance committees. The officer also contributes to the implementation of Governance and Assurance frameworks in line with legislative requirements and better practice.
