Digital Earth Australia (DEA) is a program of Geoscience Australia. It’s our mission to embed satellite imagery and data into decisions that support a sustainable Australian environment, a resilient society, and a strong economy.

DEA makes more than 30 years of landscape imagery and data from US and European satellites freely available for Australians to see on interactive maps, to download, and to access via web tools and services. We process and provide national-scale imagery and products which reveal how our lands, waters, coasts and environments have changed over time.

We equip government, industry and communities with organised, analysis ready data and high-performance computing infrastructure, unlocking the value of satellite observations for planning, monitoring and problem solving.

As a Team Leader with the DEA program, you will be working to deliver on the objectives of the DEA Strategy by leading teams who develop innovative products and services for our stakeholders.  You will apply scientific thinking, project management and organisational skills to national problems, such as the effect of a changing climate.  

You will shape the direction of DEA by leading a diverse, highly skilled and motivated multi-disciplinary team in development of innovative Earth observation information products and technologies. You will nurture and sustain effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of impactful and targeted solutions that exploit Earth observation data and to permit enhanced decision-making by Australian governments and industry.
