Haileybury welcomes applications for the role of Director of Marketing, a full-time (1.0 FTE) and ongoing position, commencing as soon as possible.

The Director of Marketing will provide strategic leadership across marketing, communications and brand, while driving innovation in customer insights, personalisation, data analytics, marketing technology and AI. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening Haileybury’s market position and shaping the future of one of Australia’s leading independent schools. 

 

Key Responsibilities  

As the Director of Marketing, you will: 

  • Develop and lead Haileybury’s brand, marketing and communications strategy to strengthen enrolment growth across all campuses and markets.  
  • Drive a consistent and compelling brand experience while ensuring relevance across diverse communities and locations. 
  • Partner with Admissions, campus leaders and the Old Haileyburians Association to enhance the family journey from enquiry through to lifelong engagement. 
  • Oversee the School’s events program, delivering high-quality experiences that strengthen community connection and reflect the Haileybury brand.  
  • Leverage market insights, data and performance metrics to guide strategy, investment and continuous improvement. 
  • Champion the evolution of marketing technology, digital channels and AI initiatives to drive innovation and effectiveness. 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, effectively managing budgets, agencies and key partnerships.
  • Protect and enhance Haileybury’s reputation through strategic communications and proactive issues management. 

 

About You  

At Haileybury we are seeking exceptional people. We are looking for a team player who brings the following skills and experience:  

  • Proven experience leading marketing strategy and multidisciplinary teams in complex, multi-site organisations.  
  • Success managing brands across diverse markets, balancing brand growth with enrolment or commercial outcomes.  
  • Knowledge of the independent school sector or a comparable industry.  
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels. 
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to use data and insights to drive decisions and measure performance.  
  • Current knowledge of digital marketing, marketing technology and responsible AI adoption.  
  • Experience delivering outcomes in fast-paced environments with fixed operational cycles and deadlines.
