Haileybury is seeking an experienced educational leader to take on the role of Senior Head of Pre-Senior. Reporting to the Deputy Principal, Head of Senior Schools, this senior leadership position provides strategic and operational oversight of the Pre-Senior program across all campuses. This position holds a teaching position, commencing Term 1, 2027.
The successful candidate will work closely with campus Heads of Pre-Senior, Senior School leaders, Heads of Department and teaching staff to ensure consistently high standards of teaching, learning, wellbeing and co-curricular delivery. They will also teach within the Pre-Senior program and contribute as a member of the Senior School Executive.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Head of Pre-Senior, you will:
- Lead and drive excellence in teaching, learning, wellbeing and student outcomes across Haileybury’s Pre-Senior Schools.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality educational experience across all campuses through coaching, classroom observations and quality assurance practices.
- Partner with academic and operational leaders to oversee curriculum delivery, staff development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead key student programs including wellbeing education, leadership development, transition programs, subject selection and parent engagement.
- Coordinate major Pre-Senior events, assemblies, communications, assessment programs and reporting processes.
- Oversee student wellbeing, behaviour management and the implementation of the Student Code of Conduct.
- Support and develop teaching staff through targeted professional learning and the annual Reflection & Growth process.
- Collaborate with campus leaders to ensure excellence in Pre-Senior operations, student experience and educational outcomes.
- Represent the Pre-Senior School on the Senior School Executive Team, contributing to strategic leadership across the organisation.
- Build strong partnerships with students, staff and families to foster a connected, inclusive and high-performing school community.
