Haileybury is seeking a reliable and proactive Facilities Support Officer to join our team located at our Keysborough campus. This full-time, ongoing position plays a key role in supporting the setup of events, functions, examinations, and assemblies across the School. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the role also includes general maintenance, general cleaning, and ensuring all venues are maintained to a high standard.
Working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Main Responsibilities
- Event and Campus Support: Carry out portering duties including exam, assembly, and function setups; assist with general maintenance, incidental cleaning, and catering support.
- Safety and Security: Open and secure gates, doors, and alarms; report and investigate incidents; conduct safety audits and ensure a safe work environment.
- Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Support compliance with Haileybury policies and safety regulations; contribute to ongoing improvements in safe work practices.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will bring the following with you:
- Experience with event and function setups, with strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a current driver’s licence.
- Understanding of child-safe practices, OH&S procedures, emergency protocols, and holding a Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
