The Role
Are you ready to make a real impact in your community while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of a stunning coastal location? We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Coordinator Water and Sewerage Operations to join our Infrastructure team. You will be accountable for asset performance, operational planning, minor project delivery, people leadership and regulatory compliance in alignment with Council’s strategic objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing expert technical and engineering advice to support operational, capital and strategic decision making.
- Investigating, developing, planning, budgeting and coordinating business operations, including the operation and maintenance of water supply and sewerage infrastructure.
- Overseeing and managing projects, including supervision of employees and contractors, ensuring delivery to scope, budget, timeframe and quality standards.
- Managing, mentoring and supervising the Mechanical, Electrical and Network Maintenance teams to achieve service delivery and performance outcomes.
About You
We're looking for a proactive leader with:
- Extensive experience in water and sewerage operations, and a strong understanding of Local Government and relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- High-level communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated capability in resource planning, budgeting and project delivery.
- A commitment to safety, continous improvement and service excellence.
Mandatory Requirements
To be successful, you will hold:
- Bachelor of Engineering with demonstrated relevant experience;
- Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or eligibility to obtain; and
- Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
