About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified and experienced Coordinator Rural Operations to join our Construction and Maintenance team. This position reports to the Manager Construction and Maintenance, and the successful candidate will have demonstrable experience leading and developing a multi-disciplined team, and proven expertise in civil works, construction, maintenance, and project management, especially in areas like roads, bridges, and stormwater.

This key position supports Council’s goals by initiating, formulating, and delivering extensive works programs across diverse construction and maintenance projects. As the Coordinator you will promote a culture of safety. and influence safe work practices, ensuring employees  comply with procedures, policies and standards in the performance of work.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Associate Degree of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (Engineering) and significant experience relating to the position;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and developing a multi-discipline team; 
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card); and
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle drivers licence.
