Location – Yeppoon | Reports to: Coordinator Revenue Services
The Role
We are looking for a Revenue Officer who supports the effective management of Council’s rating and revenue functions by maintaining accurate records, administering revenue systems, collecting and reporting income, and providing professional customer service and rating advice to the community.

What You Will Be Doing:
The role contributes to financial accuracy, data integrity and compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies. You will be focused on administering Council’s rates and revenue functions maintaining accurate records and providing quality customer service.
You will:
- Maintain property, rating and revenue records and ensure data accuracy.
- Process billing, revenue collection and financial reporting activities.
- Provide advice and assistance to customers on rates and revenue matters.
- Respond to enquiries, service requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Maintain registers, accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Generate and reconcile reports to support revenue management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies and procedures.
What You Will Bring:
You will have experience in rates, revenue or billing administration, preferably within local government, combined with strong customer service, data management and systems experience.
You will bring:
- Experience in a property, rates or water billing environment, or a similar revenue-focused role.
- Experience working within a local government environment.
- Customer service experience, particularly in responding to enquiries and resolving issues.
- Data entry and records management experience with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using Council systems such as Pathways and Aurion, or similar business systems.
