Are you an experienced civil design professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Civil Designer to join our Infrastructure Design team and play a key role in the delivery of municipal infrastructure projects across the Livingstone region. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to the investigation, survey, design, drafting, estimating and documentation of civil infrastructure projects while providing leadership, mentoring and specialist advice to colleagues and stakeholders.

About The Role
As the Principal Civil Designer, you will:
- Investigate, prepare and critically review detailed designs, drawings, estimates and documentation for significant municipal infrastructure projects.
- Undertake and coordinate survey activities, including feature surveys, terrain modelling and project set-out requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, guidance and specialist advice to Infrastructure Design team members.
- Ensure compliance with Council policies, engineering standards, specifications and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external agencies and the community to support project delivery and design outcomes.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of Council's infrastructure design program while exercising a high degree of initiative, technical judgement and professional expertise.
Mandatory Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil) or Associate Degree of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent qualification relevant to the duties of the position and substantial work experience relevant to the position;
- Extensive experience in municipal infrastructure design, drafting, estimating and project documentation;
- Possess or have the ability to acquire Construction Industry Induction (White Card); and
- Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
