The Role

Council is seeking a motivated and capable Team Leader Urban Operations to lead a multi-skilled crew delivering essential infrastructure services that support our growing community.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day activities of a diverse operational team, delivering construction and maintenance works across Council’s infrastructure network, including roads, drainage, water and wastewater assets. As a hands-on leader, you will support the Supervisor Urban Operations by planning, organising and overseeing works to ensure they are completed safely, efficiently and in line with approved plans, specifications and standards.

You will play a key role in motivating your team and fostering a positive, productive work environment. A strong focus on workplace health and safety is essential, alongside the ability to identify and report risks, defects or operational issues.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications relevant to the duties of the position and/or work experience relevant to the position;
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card); and 
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
