About the Role:
As the Coordinator Rural Operations, you will:
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of rural construction and maintenance programs across roads, bridges and drainage infrastructure.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including estimating, procurement, construction oversight and post-construction activities.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, WHS requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on program performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Champion Council’s values and contribute to a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in civil construction and maintenance, ideally within a rural local government or similar environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational or field-based teams.
- Strong knowledge of rural infrastructure including roads, bridges and stormwater systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver capital works and maintenance programs from planning through to completion.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance and risk management.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card) and current C Class Driver Licence.
