The Role

Are you passionate about working outdoors, operating machinery, and contributing to the development of your community? We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Plant Operator / Labourer to join our dedicated Rural Operations team. As a key member of our multi-disciplined team, you’ll operate a range of plant equipment—including graders, backhoes, front-end loaders, and rollers—while also supporting essential labouring tasks that help build and maintain Council’s vital infrastructure. Your expertise will play a key part in shaping safe, functional, and well-presented spaces for our community to enjoy.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to competently and safely operate a grader, backhoe, front end loader and roller; 
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card); and 
  • Possess and maintain a current HC class motor vehicle licence and the ability to operate a low loader.
