Temporary Full-Time – to June 2027 | QLGIA (Stream A) Level 6
Location: Yeppoon | Reports to: Coordinator Digital Transformation & Innovation
The Role
You will manage projects end to end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards, while working closely with internal stakeholders, senior leaders, and external vendors. You will play a key role in strengthening Council’s digital capability and supporting long term service improvement across the organisation.

What You Will Be Doing
You will act as a role model for Council’s values and behaviours and demonstrate a high level of professional and ethical conduct at all times. You will:
- Lead the full project lifecycle for digital transformation and ICT initiatives
- Apply appropriate project governance frameworks, methodologies, and controls
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and resources
- Coordinate cross functional teams, contractors and vendors
- Provide clear, accurate project reporting to senior management
- Ensure projects align with Council’s strategic objectives and ICT direction
- Implement effective change management practices to support user adoption
- Foster a collaborative, high performing project team environment
What You Will Bring
You are a proactive and collaborative professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about continuous improvement and service excellence.
Here is what we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience managing ICT and/or digital transformation projects of significant scope and complexity
- Strong project management capability, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- High level stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and external service providers
- A current “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
Bonus points for:
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational change initiatives.
