Coordinator Corridor Management  

Permanent Full-Time | QLGIA (Stream A) Level 7 ($116,079 to $123,066 p.a.)

Location: Yeppoon | Reports to: Manager Construction and Maintenance 

Are you an experienced civil infrastructure professional with strong leadership capability and a passion for delivering safe, efficient and compliant road networks?

We are seeking an experienced Coordinator Corridor Management to lead the day-to-day operations of our road corridor team of 5 Technical Officers.  The team take the lead on capturing information about the road network (e.g. Traffic Counts, Unsealed Road Roughness, Defects, Risks and potential future works) regulating all activities undertaken within the road corridor and maintaining relationships with road users and other agencies.

This newly created role will develop and implement a series of proactive approaches to improving the management of the road and other asset networks and will utilise the latest in various technologies (hardware, software, AI) to best position our region as a customer centred and future focused location.

About the Role: 

As the Coordinator Corridor Management, you will play a key leadership role within the Construction and Maintenance team, overseeing the management of Council’s road corridor and associated civil assets.

You will lead a dedicated team responsible for inspections, defect management and customer requests, while also coordinating works within Council-controlled corridors and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards. This is a dynamic role that blends operational leadership, technical expertise and stakeholder engagement.

About You:

You are a confident and capable leader with a strong technical background and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Significant experience managing civil asset maintenance and road corridor operations within a complex environment; 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop teams;
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, legislation and industry practices relating to civil infrastructure;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities; and 
  • Hold a White Card and current C Class Driver Licence.
