Team Leader Network Operations (2874) – Permanent Full Time

Are you a qualified plumbing trade professional looking for a hands on role that supports essential services across our community? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Network Operations to carry out maintenance and construction work on Council’s water and wastewater reticulation systems.

In this position, you will:

  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater reticulation networks, helping to keep critical services flowing for local residents.
  • Play an important role in capital works projects, including installing or refurbishing pipes, mains, and key infrastructure across the network.
  • Undertake hydrant testing, valve servicing, and backflow prevention activities that contribute to public safety and system reliability.
  • Operate a variety of plant, tools, and equipment essential to maintaining and improving the network.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safety focused team environment where everyone looks out for each other.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Plumbing Trade qualifications and possess a current Queensland Plumber and Drainer Licence;  
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card); 
  • Currently possess or have the ability to successfully obtain a Backflow Prevention endorsement, Working at Heights Certificate, Confined Space Certification and Traffic Management Implementation certification; and
  • Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
