About the role

The Advisor Creative Services offers an exciting opportunity to bring Melbourne’s stories to life through impactful, customer-focused design. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality creative content that supports City of Melbourne priorities, campaigns and services, helping connect our community with what matters most.

Working within the Creative and Brand Team, you’ll contribute to a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment delivering digital design, print content, videography and more. From everyday design requests to high-profile campaigns, you’ll help shape how Melbourne communicates with its diverse audiences while upholding and evolving the Brand Melbourne identity.

About you

You are a creative thinker and visual storyteller, confident working across a range of formats and channels. You bring strong design capability, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering customer-centric outcomes. Comfortable in working across small fast paced jobs as well as supporting large complex pieces.

What your experience might look like

  • Tertiary qualification in digital, graphic or communication design, or equivalent experience in a creative or agency environment
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), experience in other programs Canva and Figma is valuable
  • Experience delivering high-quality visual content across digital and print channels
  • Understanding of brand identity systems and maintaining brand consistency
  • Ability to manage projects, interpret briefs and deliver to deadlines with strong attention to detail
