The Development Manager will play a central role in shaping the National Gallery’s ambitious private giving and grants program. They will be central to achieving the objectives of the Gallery’s philanthropic strategy for 2024-2028 and sustainably grow income streams to support priority projects and programs.
This role is responsible for the efficient management of the team’s operations, including managing administrative processes; overseeing financial reporting; developing a stakeholder management plan; and identifying prospective donors.
The successful applicant will report to the Head of Development and will line manage the Development Coordinator. Working as part of an energetic and harmonious team, the Development Manager will lead and work with integrity and model best practice fundraising behaviours.
The Development Manager is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating a range of funded projects and programs at the National Gallery. They will cultivate and steward major gifts and initiate, secure, and develop strategic philanthropic relationships with the principals of major giving foundations.
