Suncare Support Worker - what's involved in the role?

We are seeking several part-time Support Workers (minimum of 40 hours/fortnight) to provide support to our customers on the Sunshine Coast - North Region (e.g. Coolum - Noosa).  Hours of work for this role would be primarily between Monday - Friday (7am- 6pm). 

The role of a Suncare Support Worker actively supports the individual needs of aged people who are living at home, either independently or with family.  No two days are the same with our customers and may include delivering personal care (showering, toileting, feeding, dressing) household domestic assistance (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, dusting), meal preparation, accompanying them on shopping trips, appointments, community activities, providing general companionship, and helping them build social networks.

While a background or qualification in community services would be advantageous, more important are the attributes that you possess that speak to our values. For this position you will be required to eb physically fit, have an open Queensland Driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. You will be also required to possess a current First Aid and CPR Certificate, Yellow Card and National Police Check. If you do not hold these currently, these will be completed as part of the recruitment process. We require flexibility to attend shifts with minimal notice and have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
