Support Officer - Building Services

Wangaratta, VIC | Permanent Full Time | $72,643 per annum + super 

Our Building Services team is looking for someone with strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. The Statutory Services Unit manages a wide range of planning and building matters, providing important services to our community. 

We are seeking a Support Officer - Building Services who can confidently welcome and assist customers while supporting our Building Services team with a variety of day-to-day administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, professional and enjoys working in a customer-focused environment. 

While experience in building services is not essential, a positive attitude, strong organisational skills and a friendly approach are important. Full training and support will be provided to the successful applicant. About the Role This permanent full-time position provides administrative and customer service support to the Building Services team. You will be the first point of contact for many customers, assisting with enquiries, processing documentation and helping ensure the efficient delivery of statutory building services.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • A professional and welcoming approach when interacting with customers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Sound computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in an administrative or customer service role.
  • Experience or knowledge in building, planning or local government environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
