What You'll Lead

As our Planning Coordinator, you'll guide a talented team of statutory and strategic planners to deliver:

  • High-quality planning services across permits, amendments, enforcement and subdivision
  • Best-practice customer service and community engagement
  • Strong legislative compliance and future-focused planning outcomes
  • Effective collaboration with developers, government agencies, referral authorities and internal teams
  • Representation of Council at VCAT, Planning Panels and other key forums
  • You'll also play a pivotal role in shaping policy, driving process improvements, managing budgets and supporting Council's long-term strategic vision.

What You Bring

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Town Planning qualifications (PIA eligibility)
  • Significant experience in Victorian local government planning
  • Strong leadership capability and experience supervising staff
  • Deep knowledge of statutory and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and public-facing
  • A commitment to fairness, excellence and outstanding customer service
