Supervisor – Landfill

We are looking for a Landfill Supervisor to join our dedicated team at the Bowser Landfill Facility. As the supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the landfill, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, promoting sustainability, and maintaining high standards of safety. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of waste services while inspiring and leading a dedicated team.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead and Supervise the daily operations of the Bowser Landfill, ensuring the smooth running of all processes.
- Oversee and guide the work of Waste Service Operators and contractors, ensuring their adherence to operational procedures, EPA regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor landfill operations, conducting regular inspections of infrastructure (roads, weighbridge, gas systems, etc.), identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with EPA licenses and waste acceptance records, maintaining accurate reports and data using various software applications.
- Foster a customer-focused culture, delivering high-quality service to clients and contractors and building strong relationships.
- Manage and maintain landfill equipment, ensuring optimal performance and timely servicing.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in waste management or landfill operations, or a strong willingness to learn and grow in the field.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and best practices in waste management.
- Proficiency in operating heavy plant and equipment (e.g., hook lift truck, compactor, front-end loader).
- Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills and a valid Heavy Rigid Driver's License.
