Duty Manager

  • $19.82- $30.49 per hour + super (plus 25% loading for casual roles and is dependant on age)

The Wangaratta Sports & Aquatic Centre (WSAC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Duty Managers to lead, the Lifeguard team and proactively engage in safety. Working in a stunning regional facility, your focus will be providing a fantastic experience to all customers and Centre excellence. To be successful in this role, you will require experience in leading a small team, providing quality customer services and problem solving. This role requires you to think on your feet, is often fast paced. We are looking for a great team player who can support the team and has an eye for detail, especially safety. This role will be operating on a rotating roster that includes some weekend, early mornings & evenings. All training provided. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and support all staff on shift, ensuring excellent customer experience .
  • Support a safe environment for patrons and staff, including efficient evacuation and emergency responses.
  • Perform a range of duties associated with efficient operation of all facilities, particularly focused on pool plant, equipment set up/take down.

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in aquatic services .
  • Ability to solve customer problems and complaints in a fair and equitable manner in line with our organisation values.
  • Demonstrated commitment and capacity to work flexible hours to reflect the operational requirements of the service.
  • Ability to fulfil the requirements of the role of Lifeguard and Customer Experience Officer.

Minimum qualifications:

  • HLTAID003 Provide first aid .
  • HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation .
  • SISSS00111 Pool Lifeguard .
  • Working with Children Check .
  • Must willing to obtain a satisfactory Police Check.
