The Opportunity
Are you an experienced maintenance professional seeking a new opportunity? Join us as a Maintenance Worker and contribute to enhancing our community infrastructure. In this role, you will:
- Perform Maintenance & Construction Duties: Execute tasks according to our maintenance programs and Road Management Plan.
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety requirements and document them appropriately.
- Operate Equipment: Handle various plant and equipment, including trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes, and chainsaws.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate diaries, work records, and time sheets for labor and equipment hours.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work efficiently with Council staff and provide support to other teams as needed.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience in outdoor maintenance and construction.
- Certifications: Traffic control certification, chainsaw certification (trim & crosscut), Certificate III in Civil Construction (preferred), and a current First Aid Level 2 certificate.
- Licenses: Medium Rigid Drivers Licence (essential), Heavy Rigid Licence (preferred).
- Equipment Competency: Certificate of competency in operating front-end loaders/backhoes.
- Skills: Ability to operate plant and equipment, identify hazards, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
