Gardener

Full Time

$58,552 + super

We are excited to seek the appointment of a suitably qualified and experienced gardener who is keen to make a significant contribution to our parks, gardens, and streetscapes.  Council is seeking a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude who is customer focused and demonstrates initiative and drive.

In this role you will be required to undertake garden development and maintenance to ensure the presentation of public areas continue to be maintained to a high standard.  You will need to hold a Certificate III in Horticulture and have demonstrated experience in amenity horticulture involving the development and maintenance of garden beds, playgrounds, turf areas and irrigation systems.  

You will hold excellent communication skills and the ability to work with limited supervision. Experience operating vehicles, mechanical plant and specialised horticulture equipment is required. A current driver licence is essential, and a Medium Rigid licence is desirable. Council requires all staff to demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices and procedures.
